We all knew avocados are a superfood for adults, but did you know that they are one of the best foods for baby? Healthy, high in nutrients, and easy to eat, they are also a great way to introduce veggies and solid foods into baby's diet once they hit 4-6 months.
- look for avocados that are soft to the touch to ensure that they are immediately edible
- puree with a masher or blender, and add water, breast milk or formula for the right consistency depending on how old baby is
- for a dash of sweetness, add a banana
- use all at once because avocados don't keep very well (guacamole, anyone?)
